About the job
Key Responsibilities:
A. Newsletter visuals:
1. Long-form layouts (3-4 minutes reads) with charts, diagrams, tip cards, concept blocks
2. Short-form 1-minute explainers screenshots with Hellopm branding, breakdowns, and
comic-style flow
3. Add custom visuals, subtle humor, transitions, and branding across sections
B. Blog & article visuals:
1. Design hero banners, inline graphics, and section headers for long-form content
2. Think in product metaphors, annotated diagrams, and visual frameworks
3. Output will also be reused for SEO snippets and LinkedIn shares
C. YouTube thumbnails:
1. Create clean, expressive, mobile-first thumbnails - no AI art
2. Use real faces, props, expressive typography, icons, emojis
3. 3-5 thumbnails per week across podcasts, solo explainers, and short clips
D. Social media visuals:
1. LinkedIn/Instagram carousels, infographics, memes, glossary breakdowns
2. Easy-to-understand branded infographics
3. Formats like: "good vs bad UX", "swipe-through roadmaps", "product metaphors"
4. Must mix fun + value using diagrams, hand-drawn overlays, charts, and clever copy
E. Ad & promo creatives:
1. Design visual assets for community events, cohort launches, or case competitions
2. Ensure all ads feel brand-aligned, clean, and not noisy
F. Templates & visual systems:
1. Build reusable kits for thumbnails, carousels, and newsletter blocks
2. Maintain font kits, color palettes, sticker elements, and visual hierarchy systems

1. A strong portfolio that shows you can explain, educate, or entertain through design
(non-negotiable)
2. The ability to convert rough content ideas into compelling visuals - without hand-holding
3. Basic understanding of UX, or the hunger to learn quickly
4. You respect hierarchy, spacing, alignment, and storytelling - not just colors
5. Fast turnarounds with consistent delivery
6. You’re a prompt communicator, reliable with deadlines, and open to feedback
7. You’re comfortable evolving with the brand - we experiment often
8. We live in a world of AI, so here is our takeaway on AI tools
9. We’re not looking for AI-generated art drops from a prompt- all final visuals must be your own,
original work
10. That said, knowing your way around AI-powered design tools is a plus, as it will help speed
up ideation, mood-boarding, or asset generation
11. Think of AI here as a sketch assistant, not the final artist; your creativity, judgment, and
design skills should always lead the process

3. All we care about is: your portfolio and how well you can adapt & evolve
Bonus points if you:
1. Have worked with creators, content teams, or SaaS newsletters
2. Have made viral memes or carousels that sparked conversation
3. Can show layout systems or visual guides you’ve designed
4. Enjoy witty content and want to shape the voice of an emerging product brand
Salary
